PM, Saudi commerce minister discuss trade and investment, business prospects in Pakistan

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has stated that the economic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have embarked on a new phase.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, while meeting with Saudi Commerce Minister Majid Al-Qasabi, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif remarked on the commitment to strengthen Pak-Saudi trade through robust action, mentioning the full engagement of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in enhancing foreign investments and providing support to investors.


He acknowledged the significant contribution of Pakistanis to the growth and wealth of Saudi Arabia.
On the same note, Saudi Trade Minister Majid Al Qasabi conveyed that Pakistan is a focal point for investment and commerce on the directive of the Crown Prince, revealing that a contingent from Saudi Arabia’s business sector and investors is planning a visit to Pakistan in the near future.


Minister Al-Qasabi underscored the importance of fostering the sentiment of Pakistan-Saudi friendship among the youth of both nations and mentioned that objectives are in place to scale economic and trade association to greater levels in the coming one to one and a half years.
